Name: Roark Braerson
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Gray Squirrel
Marital Status: Single
Position and Home: Roark lives wherever he is accepted, but within a season, invariably, he will have left. He has no real job, as he lives off anything he can pick out of a tree, be it fruit or a bird.
Strengths:
Archery:: Roark has one skill -- he can shoot stuff really well with a good bow and a good arrow. He has developed the ability to focus on one subject for extensively long periods of time. If need be, he can stand in one place, motionless, for up to about eight hours. He is a hunter.
Nimble:: As a squirrel, Roark has the innate ability to climb faster than he can run. Roark is exceptionally talented in this area and could easily scale the walls of any building, given enough footholds, of course. He also runs quickly and can jump rather high and rather far.
Humor:: Despite his blatant lack of maturity, Roark is actually quite a funny beast to be around. His humor is derived mostly from the ridiculous things he is willing to do just to get a laugh -- most would not go to such lengths in any case. Roark finds joy in the smaller things and loves to accomplish the highly unusual simply to say that he has.
Weaknesses:
Immaturity:: Roark is rather immature, even for his age, because he has been, hitherto, capable of getting away with whatever he very well pleases. Yet even when he fails to get off without a scratch, he learns nothing from it. He has a big mouth, questionable table manners, and the ill-conceived notion that he is invincible.
Size:: Roark is able-bodied enough, but he is nevertheless small and not what one might deem "strong." Paw-to-paw combat really isn't his forte, as he can easily be overpowered.
Apathy:: Presently, Roark is terribly ignorant and, sometimes, downright stupid. It isn't that he lacks the mental capacity -- he could be a genius if he so desired -- but that he lacks the motivation. Information does not even enter one ear, and therefore has not the opportunity to go out the other. He simply doesn't care enough.
Alignment: Good
Appearance: Roark stands at the wonderful height of 5'6, and his build is a slightly less than average one. He is thin and nimble, but also a bit weak. He can easily operate a bow and run for long periods of time, but heavy lifting might actually kill him (or so he believes). Work, you see, is something that Roark is somewhat unaccustomed to. He knows how to scavenge and collect his own food, but beyond that, he is lacking in experience.
Roark is covered head to footpaw in gray fur, with two patches of brown on his paws; it almost looks like he is wearing gloves. His eyes are mainly brown with strangely bright green flecks. They tend to focus rather well, thanks to his hunting skills.
Roark doesn't really have a wide selection of clothing. He wears a simple, dark-green tunic under a brown cloak. His trousers are brown, like his cloak, and his feet are protected only by a pair of small sandals. Really, though, Roark prefers to go barefoot, as it footwear can act as a hindrance in an escape, particularly for a squirrel. He wears a thick, black belt about his middle, and another circles through it, leading up and over his right shoulder. The first holds his knife, a canteen for water, and a pouch for various supplies, such as food. The second holds his quiver, whose arrow-supply seems constantly depleted. His bow is usually in his left paw, but he otherwise keeps it strapped to his back by his quiver-belt.
Personality: Roark is, on the surface, an immature, ignorant young beast. But then, given his age and his circumstances, this is to be expected. He doesn't much care to learn things that don't directly apply to his method of survival, nor does he much heed the warnings of his elders when it means he might not get to have much fun. Briefly put, he is arrogant and self-centered. Of course, he has never really had to care about anybeast else.
