Name: Griff (Griffith) Cambren
Age: 19
Gender: male
Species: wood mouse
Marital Status: single
Position and Home: He is a young orphaned traveler. He is the cliché traveling warrior in the sense that he is a very skilled warrior, but he does not use those skills for others’ benefits. Instead, he remains neutral, doing whatever benefits him, and generally not caring who gets in his way. His home is various regions of Mossflower, from whether it be under a rock, or bullying vermin, yeah, that’s right, bullying vermin. Originally he came from a foreign land, but as of late, Mossflower is his ‘home’.
Strengths: He is a very trained and skilled sword fighter, very quick witted, and very speedy. His strength is pretty good for a mouse as well. He can be very manipulative by using force.
Weaknesses: He is very untrusting, short tempered, fowl mouthed, and amused by some of the wrong things, thus making him unpersonable to MOST people. It is due to his upbringing he is this way, and is subject to change, ‘cause all characters need characterization! = ]. Other weaknesses include a bad left knee and having a bad left wrist as well. This is all due to previous injuries. Unfortunately, he is also a terrible liar...most of the time. As for education and knowledge of lands or any sort of history: nonexistent. He can’t even read a map! Also, archery: not his thing at all.
Alignment: He may same neutral, but he's all good at heart
Appearance: The young mouse is average height, possibly on the short side. He has Napolean Complex, but hey, he can at least back it up. He is thin, well fit, and has short spiky headfur/hair. His fur colors consist of a dull silver, and this is not from being ‘old’ seeing as he is only 19. His eyes, speaking of which, are a midnight blue, and often look enraged or when he is alone and actually trying to be good, they seem sort of….well, lost. His clothes consist of a torn and tattered blue shirt, black long sleeve shirt underneath, and a long torn and tattered black scarf. He also has torn black pants. Slung across his back is a simple long sword, and on his belt is a simple dirk. He also has bandages wrapped around his bad knee and wrist.
Personality: He is short tempered, a bad liar, sort of has a Napolean Complex thing going on, and just plain cranky at times. But deep down inside, there’s a great mouse….just, good luck digging for it. He isn’t one to trust others, seeing as his history until he went his own way was very lopsided and well, not too good.
He often wants to do what will benefit him, and generally tries to avoid any consequences for he sees them as ‘weak’.
History: Griffith grew up in a normal family to be quite honest. Its just his family lived in a very, well, bad town. Because Griffith’s older brother was such a ‘cool’ rebel, he followed his hated brother’s footsteps around everywhere in that town.
Unfortunately, these choices lead to mental and physical pain. He had to learn the hard way how to defend himself, and learned not to trust anyone, especially when his brother was killed when he was 15.
Ignoring his mother’s, father’s, and sister’s pleas to stay, and calm down, he ignored them, and wanting to vent, joined a militia group to fight off vermin. For whatever reason, maybe it being all the trouble he and his brother got into, or whatever, he loved it. It was a thrill he never experienced before, and he grew an unrelenting hate for vermin.
Eventually though, his hate eventually was turned against him, because at the age of 17, he was the 2nd youngest lieutenant ever, and he lead his troops into an ambush, costing all but he and four others their lives.
Shunned and hated, Griffith left, and began his current lifestyle, searching for a purpose, learning every day that he may have made a lot of bad choices…. And may want to fix them, and change his life. Will he though, is the real question?
