Daniel rose to be a great warrior within the holt. The tradition was that when creatures became a certain age and skill level, they set out on their own and train others in martial ways. It is the greatest honor to these otters to create great warriors out of other creatures.
Daniel traveled down the River Moss in search of creatures that could use some training. He eventually came upon the legendary Redwall Abbey. He gave some creatures instruction on the ways of the warrior, but he felt that he wasn't needed there. For seasons, Daniel traveled around, looking for a place to call his new home. He came upon a beautiful cave the housed a sparkling waterfall and a deep pool. The stream emptied into the River Moss, giving the River a distinct amount of freshness. This cave has become sacred to Daniel, and he proudly calls it his home.
Daniel waits there, ready to train anybeast that desires to become a warrior.
