As indicated by the title, this is ML's first announcement (odd that we've waited so long...).
Disregarding that completely irrelevant statement, I want to inform everyone that Martin's Legacy will be going through several changes over the next few months -- hopefully, it'll only take one month, but no promises. The first change: the appearance. You've probably all ready noticed it, but I've altered ML's style, though I left alone the logo and background. If you prefer the site's previous look, you can change it in your profile by going to the option, "Skins," and clicking from the drop-down menu the option "Clear Vision (The Old Look)." And have you any complaints concerning the new look, simply send me a private message (by clicking on my name, thereby directing yourself to my profile, then clicking the option "Send Private Message."
My second order of business: content. I intend to increase ML's "population," if you will (though you might not), and refuse to have strictly Redwall-savvy members. I will be advertising on non-Redwall websites, and will therefore need to post information concerning the books, characters, and other necessary background knowledge onto our Records. If any currently active member here can help with that, please feel free to do so. After all, I can't put all my time into this, as I do, in fact, have a life (feel free to gasp)...Now if only I could come up with a good advertisement...
As well as compile a sufficient stock of Redwall information, I will also need to create several new categories and boards so as to allow for complete freedom to move about the known Redwall-universe. And besides, it makes the site look that much bigger.
Thirdly, I will need to find eligible candidates to be staff members. As you can see, there are...well...none left. There's Rocky, who has a life, and myself, who also has a life, which leaves about. . . 1/2 of a person to run this place. On the other hand, I can't go around, recruiting any random person, so anyone who does want to become a staff member will have to be fairly active and trustworthy. Depending on how well I know you, you may end up being an Admin, or a Moderator, but hey, you can always work your way up (that, or I might give up trying to keep the site alive, and simply give the responsibility to someone with more free time... ).
And finally, we need to get the plot underway, because I'm not patient enough to laze around all day, waiting for someone to post a significant thread. I am currently introducing my own characters, and the moment that's out of the way, I'm going to have the starting plot posted, regardless of whether or not our Warlord is here. But I'll be generous; the deadline will probably be June 1, which should be plenty of time for everyone to get an intro post in (unless we get loads of new members, in which case, I may have to push the deadline back a bit).
