(I also advise visiting this thread. Redwallers.)
There may be a bit of confusion concerning the plot. There is a table on the side with a brief description, but I believe there needs to be something a little more in depth. Honestly, I know nothing of the Salamandastron plot, seeing as I am not a part of it, so if someone wants to provide that information, feel free. But moving right along, this is basically what the Redwall Plot will consist of:
The Glassmaker has amassed possibly the largest vermin horde ever to approach Redwall Abbey. Lacking a Champion currently, and given the fact that vermin have been scarce in Mossflower country for many, many seasons, the Abbey is very poorly prepared. The only potential Champion, Barr Stromness, is somewhat new to the Abbey, and knows little of its customs; likewise, the abbeydwellers know little of him. This, among a few other factors, will inevitably result in something that has never happened before: Redwall Abbey will fall. The Champion, along with a few others, will escape by way of the old mole passages that tunnel below the Abbey. To put it rather simply, the Champion and the others will travel all over the map, gaining allies to help reclaim Redwall. Naturally, the Glassmaker will send a small force after the refugees, which will only make their journey that much more difficult. Meanwhile, many vermin from other lands will hear of the War-somethingorother's absolutely astounding accomplishment, and will be motivated to travel to Redwall and ally themselves with her. This steady stream of attracted vermin will ultimately leave the Glassmaker with more power than with which she began, and she will begin to expand her forces. Eventually, the two forces will clash: the goodbeasts and the vermin, in the most intense battle Mossflower has ever seen.
Trust us, the plan that the staff has developed for this plot will be epic, especially if executed swiftly and masterfully. It is for this reason that I ask every member to contribute to our story efficiently and cooperatively, by not only making characters and posting in threads, but stopping when necessary (though not too early), and generally speaking when spoken to (subplots are acceptable). I don't want people getting too excited and ruining the plot for everyone by trying to make on-the-side characters the center of attention; my favorite characters ever were only slightly-less-main characters who, although static initially, had a dynamic impact on the story. In other words: this story is a large one, and because of the ground it covers, everyone will get a chance to contribute, so don't get too excited, but don't be too quiet. Yes, we can use all the help we can get, but at the same time, we can't have twenty main characters all trying to save the day, so be active and involved, but keep your distance.
Your time is greatly appreciated ,
