Name: Weghul
Age: 31 Seasons
Gender: Male
Species: Rat
Marital Status: Single
Position and Home: Weghul can best be classified as a 'river pirate' terrorizing the river moss. He has no home, but sleeps whenever he can find cover.
Strengths: Weghul's main strength is his knowledge of the river. Using this knowledge he will wait hidden in a side stream until a victim passes by, then he attacks. Using the element of suprise he can often take victims ungaurded. He knows how to swing a sling with at least semi-accuracy.
Weaknesses: He is not a very good close combat fighter. Due to this defiect, he would refrain from attacking parties of more than one until he managed to recruit his 'first mate' Spinetooth, to assist him. Heis also not a very good forager or cook, which neccesitates his life of thievery.
Alignment:Evil
Appearance: Weghul is your average rat in terms of build and body shape. He wears tattered rags most of the time, his garb consisting of an extremely dirt overshirt and torn blue shorts. He carries a sling about him, and on his belt is a pouch of smooth slingstones for slinging. In case of hand to hand combat Weghul also has a Long skinning knife(mostly used to threaten a victims life in exchange for goods).
Personality: Weghul is a slimy and ill mannered rat. He will try to hijack anybeast vermin or goodbeast. He does not even spare his fellow rats in his acts of pirating. He lives soley to serve himself, and with the sole exception of Spinetooth, has allowed no other beast to pass unmolested without pillaging their goods and throwing them overboard.
History: Weghul never associated himself much with organized bands of vermin. This dissociation with society even led him to run away from home at a very young age. In fact, Weghul does not even remember what it feels like to be in a band of vermin anymore. What he does remember hoiwever, is how he started Pirating: Weghul was walking along the river moss on a particularly chilly fall season, when he noticed a disturbance up ahead. A gaggle of crows were fighting over the carcasses of a family of mice. Weghul could see that just beyond the bodies lay a small hut, which looked to be ransacked. "So after 'dey stuck 'em dey raided der 'ouses' He thought, "But dey don' always search dem full I wagers" Using this line of reasoning he determined to check it out. Upon entrance to the hut, Weghul found that it had indeed been ransacked-throughly it appeared. Upon finding nothing of use inside this hut, he kicked out in fustration. "Der 'haint nuthin' in dis 'abin dat I's could use!" In his anger, he had kicked over a random table, which revealed a trapdoor. When this trapdoor was lifted, it revealed a small hideway in the ground. In this Hideaway was a coracle, big enough for two beasts to fit comfortably in. Weghul immediatly took this new 'gift' int othe water ways were he thought of ways that he could use it. One day, as he was hidden in the reeds pndering on how best to use the coracle, he espied a lone traveler in a rowboat, gently making his way downstream. An idea flashed into Weghul's mind in an instant. Moving carefully in order not to be seen by the mole in the boat, he silently led his boat to the water's edge. Getting in the boat, he waited until the mole was in front of him on the river before pushing off from shore. He clearly had the tactical advantage and the poor mole never saw him coming. Weghul's coracle slammed into the moles boat, causing the mole to fall dwon stunned. Whilst the mole lay stunned thus, Weghul jumped from his coracle to the other boat and grabbed the mole's provisions. Throwing the moles belongings into his own boat, he then whipped out his skinning knife. He used the knife to gouge a small hole on the boat, then jumped back into his coracle. His first venture a success,Weghul steered his boat back to cover while the moles boat slowly sank(with the mole on it). Ever since that day, he has been terrorizing the waters of the river moss with his piracy.
