Name: Baron Redmist Gorsespike
Age: 43 Seasons
Gender: Male
Species: Hedgehog
Marital Status: Single
Position and Home: Baron of Hedgehogs; commonly wanders through Mossflower and the surrounding area with his clan, so there's really no specific place to call home.
Strengths:
Ferocity in Battle~Redmist has the ferocity in battle to match any badger's, and some have even noticed that his usually dark brown eyes cloud over with crimson, earning him his first name.
Skilled Archer and Swordsman~The hedgehog leader is quite skilled when it comes to shooting bows. A leather quiver containing owl-feather fletched arrows is almost always seen strapped to his back, and an oaken bow is either carried in his paws, or strapped to his back with the quiver. He is also skilled with longswords, and when not carrying the bow and arrows, is seen with the sword tucked into his belt in the sheath.
Gruff Kindness~Despite the first encounter with him, Redmist can be quite the kind beast when such a time comes. He has a soft spot for dibbuns, and has a good sense of humor. This will only be shown to true and highly trusted friends, however.
Weaknesses:
Horrible Temper~Redmist has a horrible temper, and when annoyed or angered enough (which is quite simple for somebeast to do), he will most certainly show it. He has been known to put arrow to bowstring or draw his sword, but this has only occurred in the presence of vermin, and is very rare even then.
Stuttering~When stressed to an extreme extent, surprised suddenly, or frightened greatly, the hedgehog may start stuttering. Depending on how bad the situation is, this can range from slightly, which can be on a few words or phrases, to heavily, which is nearly whole phrases and all words.
Fear of Fire~Ever since a past event, Redmist has had a fear of large fires. Even smoke can make him fearful and on edge, even sometimes going as far as to give him a slight headache.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Appearance: Short and stubby, like most of his kind. Spikes poked from a dark navy blue tunic and brown vest. Most of his spikes were covered in numerous leaves, different types of feathers, and strands of vines, making him appear slightly larger than he really was. This served as a make-shift illusion of size, and camouflage. Black leggings were held up with a leather belt, and were tucked into black boots. Two identical, red stripes were tattooed on either side of his muzzle. Eyes were dark brown, and a few grey spikes were seen thanks to approaching age. Some parts of the fur on his arms and chest are singed and blackened.
Personality: Gruffly kind, one might say. Redmist isn't the kindest creature in Mossflower, though, that is certain. Although, what he lacks in hospitality, he makes up for in braveness in battle. Despite this, however, he is sometimes a shy and quiet beast, who has a great phobia of fire and smoke.
History: Redmist was born near Mossflower's coast, a few miles north east of Salamandastron, in the late fall. A relatively peaceful life was the type that he led in a small clan of hedgehogs. His parents, the leaders of the clan, taught their son the skills of shooting a bow and arrow when he came to the age of seven and a half seasons. Many broken arrows, argumentative squabbles, and accidental targets later, he became a skilled archer, categorizing himself 'as good as any tree-mouse'.
Six seasons later, and there was talk of vermin in the area. Redmist, now a young adult, wasn't at all frightened. In fact, he looked forward to fighting, and wished to know the arts of other weapons, such as the sword, which he later became fairly good at as well. However, months after the word of vermin had gotten around, attacks started to be reported. Redmist was now beginning to be a bit worried, but was still not frightened enough to persuade his family and clanmates to leave the shores they called home....Until the night their village was raided.
A fox, the leader of the band of vermin who attacked the clan of hedgehogs, set one of the huts alight with his torch. This was the leaders' hut, where Redmist and his family stayed. Redmist awoke to find his and his parents' home ablaze, trying to wake his parents as quickly as he could. Both, luckily escaped from the burning hut, but it took Redmist a while to escape. Smothered and blinded by the smoke, he semi-curled up, keeping his head tucked under his chest as he blindly made his way out on all fours. Tripping over a piece of wood that had fell from the roof, he was knocked over, exposing his chest, arms, and stomach to the flames. His cries of agony rent the air as he was burnt, though, not too badly to render him unable to escape. Seconds later, he gained control of himself, and swiftly escaped the burning building with his life. After recovering from his wounds, he was relieved to find out that none of the clan had been killed, and at least five vermin had lost their lives instead.
From then on, Redmist hated battle, although he was certainly not what one peaceful creature. He was as argumentative as any shrew, and had the temper of a badger with bloodwrath, as many who met him had said. Despite these bad traits, however, he was a strong and trustworthy hedgehog who, when both of his parents passed on to the Dark Forest thanks to sickness and old age, was elected to be the new leader of the clan. And he has since then been the leader, not making many changes to the tribe excepting that they now stay in the more wooded parts of Mossflower.

[Sorry if it's "out of order" in some places, or isn't quite that good. Had to retype it a few times thanks to the power going out unexpectedly. Again, too, I just returned from an all-too-long absence, so I maybe a bit rusty at typing good bios--Not like I ever was good, heh. ]
