Weghul took the rejection of food personally. He felt as if he had been extremely offended, and persecuted. Had he not asked reasoably, and with due promptness? Was he not entitled to a replacement in the event that something should happen? True, Weghul remembered no other life save this brief stint at the abbey, so he knew not how the world worked.
"yeah!" Weghul cried out, throwing the remains of the cheese from him. Defiently, he ran out, and stomped on the cheese muck right in front of the otter's feet. "Den break!"Weghul shouted in his fury. "Den break de' laws and gimme de cheeze!" Pointing first from Barr to Trystal." Ye Kin Mousmaid much nicer den de' mean Streamdog!Won' yew be nice loike dat?"
"I got no better thang to do huh? Ye think I got no bettah thing to do huh?" Weghul stamped up and down, with a noise that was certain to wake the dead. "Der is life and death, Fer Alls I knows dey the same! I ha' seen both, or so dey tell me. De crazy medical lady says I talk at night....aboot wierd creatures and what not. Dis cause of dat beasts seems to dink I be Stoopid in de head."
"Dey cheat a poo' rat outta food dats what!"

"'old on there, rat. We can't jus' go 'round givin' all our food t'everybeast who falls onnit,
[/b]" Barr had responded when Weghul had said that his cheese had broke and he needed another one. It was obvious that Barr did not seem to show any pity for the rat. Trystal felt the opposite, but Barr did make a point. She usually didn't even allow little Dibbuns to snack on a scone or two from time to time. But, of course, her feelings usually won over anything else. then Weghul began to shout. The rat flung what's left of the cheese close to Barr's feet, and then he ran forth and began to tramp and pound upon the squished cheese. " Den break de' laws and gimme de cheeze!" he cried in rage. Trystal was instinctively suppose to be sort of angry and scowling at Weghul, who was stomping on the piece of cheese and shouting, but she felt, yet again, a lash of pity. Weghul was then pointing at both her otter and herself. " Ye Kin Mousmaid much nicer den de' mean Streamdog! Won' yew be nice loike dat?" he said. " i got no better thang to do huh? Ye think I got no bettah thing to do huh?[/b]" he cried, stamping upon the squished remains of the cheese, the sound against his claws against the floor indescribable. " Der is life and death, Fer Alls I knows dey the same! I ha' seen both, or so dey tell me. De crazy medical lady says I talk at night....aboot wierd creatures and what not. Dis cause of dat beasts seems to dink I be Stoopid in de head." and as usual, Trystal felt even more sorry for him. Weghul ended with a, " Dey cheat a poo' rat outta food dats what!" It was awkward and hard to listen to him. Having never experienced whatever Weghul had been through before, it was hard to not feel pity. He did say he had experienced both life and death, and that brought a shiver down her spine. Trystal retreated back into the kitchens, leaving Barr and Weghul alone. She slid the candle atop a table and hurried over to the pantry. she plucked a wheel of cheese from a shelf and darted back to Barr and the rodent. " Here, Weghul. Now go back to bed, and, er, be careful next time. We certainly don't want the kitchen to empty out, now can we?" She felt a little guilty for some reason, but sort of in a good, helping spirit. Plus, perhaps she could take some time tomorrow morning to replace the ones that Weghul took. - - - - - - - - - -status , doneee. tagged , skipper 'n dirge. words , 436. muse , friggin'ly horrible. >xP notes , xD you know i was only kiddin', righto skip? :P and, it's perfectly fine. i should also apologize for mah lack 'o activeness. x3 xoxo, rosie[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

((Lack of muse = ))
In the end, despite Barr's opposition, Weghul left with another cheese wheel. In all honesty, though, he wasn't entirely upset over the matter. He didn't like cheese very much anyway. What had set him off was the general attitude about the rat. Granted, it should be expected of vermin, but Barr had never been a very understanding otter, leaving little or no room for toleration of such behaviour.
Barr tilted his head as he observed the rat a final time. He then shrugged as though accepting Trystal's decision, and turned to leave.
But Barr wasn't thinking of that. He was deeply pondering the rat's behaviour, attempting to glean any sort of information he could. Mayhap 'twould be best to sleep on the matter.
